Gerda Amelia Maria Romilly (Resident 1922-1923)
Gerda Amelia Maria Romilly (nee Bolander) lived at Piper’s Field in 1922/23. Gerda was born 1855 in Gothenburg and was the widow of Charles Edward Romilly. They were married in 1881 in Sweden.
In the 1881 census, Charles was described as a Sugar Planter in Australia. They had two children, Georgiana, born in Australia in 1881 and died 1883, and Cosmo, born in 1890 and was killed in action and buried at Gallipoli in 1915.
Charles died in 1913. Gerda died 1930 in Surrey.
