ELIZA NIVEN

Eliza Mary Niven (Resident 1927-1960)

Eliza Mary Heffer was born in 1869. She was the second wife of William Niven, who died in 1921. William was an architect.

Pipers Fields was bought by Eliza Mary Niven in 1927. 


William and his first wife were the grandparents of the actor David Niven.


Eliza was living in Pipers Field in 1939, along with her two daughters, Edith Brenda (b. 1900-d. 1960) and Margaret Graeme (b. 1906- d. 1997). Edith Brenda was married to Charles Lane in 1943, whilst living at Pipers Field, at Weeke Church. Margaret G Niven was a British visual artist who has had several gallery and museum exhibitions, including at the Triton Museum of Art.

Eliza Mary Niven was living at Pipers Field in 1960 when  she died.
