ADMIRAL SIR MORGAN SINGER K.C.B., K.C.V.O.
Morgan and Emily Mary Singer (Residents 1933-1938)
Morgan Singer was born in 1864, son of Admiral Morgan Singer. He married Emily Mary Desborough in Bideford in Devon in 1899.

He joined the Royal Navy as a Cadet in 1877. During the First World War he was Director of Naval Ordnances. His last appointment was as Admiral Commanding Coastguard and Reserves. He retired in 1924.
He was made a CB in 1916, KCVO in 1919 and upgraded to KCB in 1923.

In 1921, he was appointed member of the Imperial War Graves Commission.
The Singers moved into Teg Field House in 1933.

Morgan Singer died in 1938. He is interred at Broughton, Hants. Their son Lieutenant-Commander Michael Morgan-Singer, was killed with the rest of the crew of H.M.A.S. Sydney in 1941. Lady Emily Singer died in Salisbury in 1952.
