LANG HOUSE (NO. 27)

Approved 1910 – Architect - Henry L G Hill (Winchester).

Plans include dining room, drawing room, study,  servant's hall, kitchen, scullery/pantry, hall, workshop, dark room, lavatory, main bedroom and dressing room, four further bedrooms and two servants bedrooms. (Building control plan HRO reference W/C11/2/1390).

The first owner, A F Macfie, had a Scottish family estate called Langhouse, Inverkip, Renfrewshire, Scotland, undoubtedly the source of the name of this new house.

Lang House was run as a Bed & Breakfast in the 2000's.

Lang House was demolished and replaced by the Connaught Square development of 14 apartments in 2015.
