DR. EGERTON H V HENSLEY

Egerton Henry Valpy and Valentine Eugenie Marie Hensley (Residents 1930-1958).

Egerton H V Hensley was born in Chepstow, Monmouthshire in 1892. He went to Cambridge University. In 1914 he joined the Boulogne Unit No. 6 of the British Red Cross Society as a dresser and then joined the Royal Army Medical Corps as a captain.

In March 1918 he married Valentine Eugenie Marie Curtis in Paris. Valentine was born in Lille, France in 1896.

The Hensley's moved to Kirtling House in 1930 and their three daughters were born there. They left Kirtling House in 1958.

Egerton died in 1967 in Winchester. Valentine died in 1981 in Winchester.
