ERNEST ATHOLE ROSS

Ernest Athole and Gladys Wheen Ross (Residents 1920)

Ernest was born in Kensington, London in 1875. He married Gladys Wheen in High Wich, Hertfordshire in 1906.

​

He went to Trinity College, Cambridge. From 1911 to 1919 he was pathologist to the East London Hospital for Children. He was appointed honorary pathologist to the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in 1920, and was regarded as a pioneer of clinical pathology.

​

Ernest and Gladys lived at Lang House briefly, but long enough to be registered at that address on the 1920 (Autumn) Electoral Register.

​

​

He died in 1955 in Devon.
