The first building on Chilbolton Avenue was the clubhouse of the Royal Winchester Golf Club, built in 1901.
The first six houses on Chilbolton Avenue were built between 1909 and 1912.
Residents have included generals, admirals, judges, doctors, dentists, architects, colonial civil servants, etymologists, poets, golfers and many other interesting and significant people, including a 'Female Enemy Alien' refugee.
The purpose of this site is to assist in research - and for idle curiosity.
